A Screening of the Ukrainian Drama Film ‘Bucha’
“Bucha” is a drama film that that sheds light on the harrowing events that unfolded in Bucha, Vorzel and Hostomel — regions deeply impacted by Russia occupation — during the early stages of Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine in February-March 2022. The core narrative follows Konstantin Gudauskas, a Kazakh asylum seeker in Bucha who is compelled to fight Russian brutality and protect the lives of countless Ukrainians in occupied territories. The result is a powerful testament to resilience and defiance in the face of violent oppression.
