Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci discussed his government's views on Kosovo's current status, its relationships with its most important neighbors and partners, and its future.
Following the victory of the Democratic Party of Kosovo in the parliamentary elections on November 17, 2007, Hashim Thaçi became the first prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo on January 9, 2008. One of Prime Minister Thaçi’s first major actions was to declare Kosovo as an independent, sovereign and democratic state on February 17, 2008.
