Naiyu Kuo is a research analyst on the China team at USIP. Her work at the Institute focuses on cross-Strait development, Taiwan’s politics and national security, U.S.-Taiwan relations, and the People’s Liberation Army.
She previously served as a consultant for China and Northeast Asia at Eurasia Group, advising clients around the globe on political risks related to China and Taiwan. Prior to that, she interned with the Congressional Affairs team at the National Bureau of Asian Research. Her analysis has been quoted by major media outlets such as South China Morning Post and Business Insider.
Kuo holds a master’s degree in international affairs with concentrations in Asia and international security from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from National Chengchi University in Taiwan. She is native in Mandarin and proficient in Korean.
